| About |
My music is metamorphichence the name Meta. I take what others created to make something new. I'll use the drums & the bass from one song, then mix it with powerful vocals and crazy syths from another song that draws you in with it's intensity and makes something plain and simple into something which is outrageous, strong, & mind-blowing. To hear the sounds that are created when you combine the two the different layers of sound that blend into oneyour own creationit is pure love. It is metamorphic.
Since the age of 17, DJ Meta has been performing his music before live audiences. He's known for his infectious Breaks and his heart pounding Drum & Bass. Since then, DJ Meta has morphed into Tribal, Electro, Funky, and Progressive House, teasing his listeners with his riveting sounds. Although he plays different genres of electronic music, what truly inspires him is Breaks. Well recognized for his pure mixes, Meta keeps his music fresh by mixing between different electronic genres (i.e. Trance to House and Breaks to Drum & Bass) without skipping a beat.
Inspired by the Freestyle, Retro, and Electro music of the 1980s, Meta started his career during the Rave scene in the late 1990s and soon became part of the DJ circuit. He has performed at Opium Garden, Cafeteria, I/O Lounge, Club Ovation, Club Exit, Aqua Bootie, CandyLand (Just to name a few), and was the resident DJ at the Close Encounters ranch parties. In addition to DJing, Meta is a talented graphic artists. His love for graphic art started in high school with graffiti, where he learned to express himself thru paper. Today, he uses computers as his canvas and likes to describe his style as simplistic with a twist of Grunge.
